Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating Flatbed trucks over long distances to deliver freight safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, knowledge of freight handling, and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work on challenging routes while maintaining high safety standards and professionalism.

Duties

Safely operate commercial trucks across long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Transport freight efficiently from origin to destination, ensuring timely deliveries
Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route adjustments, delays, or issues encountered during transit
Conduct basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime during trips
Comply with company policies and safety procedures at all times
Requirements

Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Experience in commercial driving, preferably with long-haul routes
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols for heavy equipment operation
Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting mechanical issues on the road (preferred)
Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or with equipment, including lifting heavy items when necessary
Strong attention to safety standards and detail-oriented approach to driving and cargo handling
Flexibility to work extended hours or overnight trips as required by route schedules
