Asphalt Paving & Construction

We are looking for an experienced Finishing Skid Steer Operator to join our base crew.

We are seeking a skilled operator who takes pride in producing clean, accurate finishing work and understands what it takes to deliver a quality gravel and asphalt project.

Responsibilities

• Operate skid steer for fine grading, trimming, backfilling and finishing work
• Assist base crew with preparation and finishing
• Maintain proper grades, slopes and elevations
• Work around paving equipment and crews safely and efficiently
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Follow company safety procedures and project specifications

Qualifications

• Previous skid steer operating experience required
• Asphalt paving or construction experience is a strong asset
• Experience with fine grading and finishing work
• Ability to read grades and understand slopes
• Strong attention to detail
• Safety-conscious and dependable
• Able to work independently and as part of a crew
• Valid driver’s licence
• Willingness to work overtime and varying hours during the paving season
