Verger Irishview Orchard is seeking 5 - 6 SEASONAL full time employees to help maintain and develop a 90 acre apple orchard from March - November.

Main responsibilites will include, but are not limited to: pruning, hand thinning, weeding, installing and maintaining irrigation, pest control, chemical applications and sprays, and hand harvesting apples in the fall.

Responsibilities/Tasks

Apply fertilizers
Cut agricultural crops
Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots
Hand harvesting vegetables
Mixing fertilizer
Pick row and orchard crops
Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts
Sort fruits and vegetables
Weeding
Write daily basic progress reports
Clean work area
Fertilize and spray crops
Harvest crops
Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market
