Job Description:
Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and make minor purchases as required.
Empty trash cans and other waste containers
Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
Perform minor repairs on appliances
Perform safety and security checks
Supervise other workers
Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
Work with minimal supervision
Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
Requirements:
Education: Completion of secondary education is required.
Experience: A minimum of 7 months of maintenance experience is required.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgment, organized, reliability.
Language: English is required
Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Work site environment: All weather conditions, Noisy, Odours, Dusty, Hot, Wet/damp, Heights
Work setting: Remote location, rural area
Salary: $26.00 per hour, 40 hours per week.
