Assembler Afternoon Full-time - Wood/Furniture/Cabinets
Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate and attend to manual and automated tools and equipment in the production process, including but not limited to nail guns, hand drills, screw drivers, hammers, table saw, miter saw, and chisel.
• Apply furniture glue to parts prior to assembling. QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience, and/or combined post-secondary education experience.
• Able to operate hand/powers tools (drills, pneumatic guns, wrapping machines etc.) and pump trucks. Knows how to read a tape measurer.
• Ability to interpret basic drawings and sketches
• Knowledge of Product quality and good production methods
• Is able to lift materials up to 50 pounds and to carry, move, manipulate and/or position them and to move, bend, twist or maintaining awkward body positions while performing work.
• Has good hand and eye co-ordination and muscular control sufficient to operate tools or equipment and to see closely and/or listen intently in order to achieve very detailed results and/or detect flaws or errors.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Occasional lifting of moderately heavy objects may be required.
• Required to use hand tools.
