Onesies Private Montessori-Style Daycare is looking for two warm, experienced and dependable childcare professionals to join our small team.

Unlike a large childcare centre, Onesies is intentionally designed around a very small group of children and a high level of individual attention and care.

Our intimate environment allows our educators to truly get to know each child, understand their routines and personalities, and play an active role in their learning and development.

We care for children approximately 4 months to 6 years old.

POSITION 1 — FULL-TIME CHILDCARE LEAD

We are looking for an experienced childcare professional to take a leading role in the children’s day-to-day care, routines, activities and learning environment.

The ideal candidate may have experience as an:

* Early Childhood Educator (ECE/RECE)
* Doula
* Midwife or internationally trained midwife
* Teacher or educational assistant
* Nanny or childcare professional
* Infant/newborn care provider

Strong hands-on experience with infants and young children is particularly valuable.

Responsibilities Include

* Leading the children’s daily routine
* Providing attentive care to infants and young children
* Planning age-appropriate activities, crafts and learning opportunities
* Supporting Montessori-inspired and child-led learning
* Encouraging independence, sharing and positive social development
* Feeding and supervising snacks/mealtimes
* Diapering and supporting toileting
* Managing naps and rest routines
* Supervising outdoor play in our private fenced yard
* Maintaining a clean, organized and safe childcare environment
* Communicating with parents about their child’s day
* Working closely with the Part-Time ECE/childcare provider

POSITION 2 — PART-TIME ECE / CHILDCARE PROVIDER

Pay: $19–$21/hour based on experience and qualifications

Our Part-Time ECE will work alongside our Full-Time Childcare Lead to provide additional hands-on support and individual attention throughout the day.

Responsibilities Include

* Engaging children in age-appropriate learning and play
* Supporting child-led and Montessori-inspired activities
* Supervising indoor and outdoor play
* Assisting with feeding, snacks and mealtimes
* Supporting diapering, toileting and naps
* Helping with crafts and learning activities
* Maintaining a clean and organized environment
* Providing individual attention and comfort
* Encouraging kindness, sharing and positive social interaction

Individual Dietary Care

Food allergies, dietary restrictions and religious food requirements are taken seriously and incorporated into each child’s snack and meal plan for strict adherence.

* Comfortable communicating with parents

Current First Aid/CPR and a Vulnerable Sector Check are strongly preferred and may be required prior to starting.

ECE/RECE credentials are an asset, particularly for the Part-Time ECE position.
