Description
Rocky Cross Construction DKI., a busy restoration company, is looking to hire an experienced Carpenter or equivalent.
Position:
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing various construction tasks on reconstruction of residential and commercial assignments involving building, installing and repairing structures, fixtures, furniture and other items using different types of materials. This is an hourly position, Monday-Friday 8-4:30 p.m. with occasional on-call weekends.
General Duties:
• Build, install and repair structural woodwork, doors, windows, ceilings, flooring and cabinetry and other duties as required
• Operate, maintain and calibrate hand and power carpentry tools
• Assess the sequence of tasks and appropriate materials required to complete the job in a timely fashion
• Perform heavy physical labor
• Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Maintain cooperative working relationships with staff and management
• Ability to multi-task and manage a large volume of time sensitive items
• Possess excellent customer service
• Ability to work as a team and ensure completion of all tasks
• Show commitment and passion for each task
• Perform each task efficiently and independently in order to meet deadlines
Qualifications:
• Provide your own tools
• 4 years experience
• Class 5 driver’s license with driving abstract if selected
• Ability to provide own transportation if required
• Ability to submit clean criminal record check
• Ability to lift 60 lbs on a regular basis
• First Aid/CPR certificate an asset
• WHIMIS
• Asbestos and Hazard Assessment Awareness an asset
