Nursery Labourer Positions

We are accepting applications for general labor positions on our nursery. Please review the
following information to see if you would be suitable for this job. Education: No degree, certificate or
diploma Experience: Will train on site Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no
option to work remotely. Work site environment: Outdoors Wet/damp Hot Cold/refrigerated Non-
smoking Responsibilities: Tasks Clear and collect brush and debris from fields and other work
areas Cut horticultural crops Greenhouse cleaning Guide growing shoots into optimal development
positions Harvest seedlings Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts Tie and secure plants
Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality Weeding Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and
plants Mix and prepare soils Plant bulbs and seeds Pot and re-pot plants Transplant seedlings or
rooted cuttings Assist in grafting activities Dig up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs Water and
tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens Clean work area Clear and collect brush and debris from
fields, pens and other work areas Experience and specialization: Type of product Deciduous trees
Native plants Fruit trees Ornamental trees, shrubs and hedges Additional information:
Transportation/travel information Own transportation Travel expenses not paid by employer Work
conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks Handling heavy loads Physically demanding
Standing for extended periods Bending, crouching, kneeling Large workload Attention to detail
