Construction Trades Supervisor
Description
a full-time, permanent construction trades supervisor is required by Ironwood Interiors LTD, a family-owned construction business operating on site across the Lower Mainland with head office at 17 – 19631 55A Ave, Langley, British Columbia V3A 0L5.
The salary range is $38.40 - $39.00 per hour.
The main duties will be:
• Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of construction workers engaged in bricklaying, roofing, cement finishing, tilesetting, plastering, drywall installation, glazing, insulating and painting, and workers who install and service prefabricated products in residential and commercial properties.
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other subcontractors
• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
• Requisition materials and supplies
• Train workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
• Recommend personnel actions such as hirings and promotions
• Prepare work progress reports
• May manage the operations of own company
• May also supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of related apprentices, helpers and labourers.
As we operate across the Lower Mainland, travel to our various construction sites is required. Ideal candidate will have transport to and from construction sites.
As we operate on weekends, successful candidates must be prepared to work on weekends.
Ideal Candidate will have the following:
• 3 - 4 years of experience in carpentry / tile setting / painting is required.
• Completion of Secondary School;
• English is Required
