Emp 9453-7 chrome 75 amp 12 volt alternator for air cooled VW Type 1 applications.


These 2-wire AL82 style alternators are internally regulated, and are used to convert 1960-79 Beetle, Ghia, Thing, and 1960-71 Bus to alternators.

75 Amps, 12 volts. Made in China.

Requires using an alternator stand, or trimming your generator stand to clear the larger alternator end.


Simple 2-wire installation - the main post wires straight to the POS starter and battery.

The smaller terminal wires to the charging/alternator light on the dash, then to a keyed-on POS source.

You must run a non-LED charging/alternator light for these alternators to charge.
