This job is a Seasonal Full-Time employment at a Cabbage Farm. With 5 vacancies from Jan. 05/27 – May 15/27. On site; Day, Evening, Weekend and On-Call. Working 40-48 hours per week at $17.60/hour. No experience required, will train. Work setting is a Rural Area and Remote Location which requires your own transportation. The work site environment is cold/refrigerated, dusty, noisy, odors, outdoors, wet/damp. Tasks are to clear fields of wood and stones. Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots. Grade vegetables into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume. Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market. Trim, sort, pack Cabbage into cartons, bags or bins and stack onto pallets. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Work conditions and physical capabilities include ability to distinguish between colours, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, fast-paced environment, hand-eye co-ordination, handling heavy loads up to 50 lbs., physically demanding, repetitive tasks, sound discrimination, standing for extended periods, tight deadlines and work under pressure.
