Jungle Val - great beginner aquatic plant
Description
This hardy aquatic plant has about 7 leaves on each stem.......I have shorter stems 2-8" long, and stems 24" high given they grew that tall in my large aquarium. Let me know if you want shorter or longer stems.

Jungle Val (aka Vallisneria Americana, aka Eelgrass, aka Water Celery, aka Tape grass) will definitely grow in your aquarium substrate. It may need to get used to your water chemistry and even have some leaves looking damaged till it recovers. Any babies off runners will be a strong green colour and provide excellent foliage and hiding spots in your tank. Photos show early growth of Val in my large tank and growth after about 6 months.
*
$2 per stem. Once settled, it spreads by runners. If you have a new setup, I recommend pushing a fertilizer puck into substrate beside the new stems.....this will give them sustenance to get started and lasts 3 months. After that, your tank will be settled and there should be no further need for fertilizer pucks.
