Part-Time Piano Teachers – September 2026

The Oakville School of Music and Performing Arts is seeking enthusiastic, dependable and experienced part-time piano teachers to join our teaching team beginning in September 2026.
For more than 17 years, OSMPA has provided high-quality private music instruction in a positive and supportive environment. Our students benefit from structured lessons, performance opportunities, Royal Conservatory of Music preparation and enrichment activities throughout the school year.
Successful candidates will provide weekly private piano lessons to children and youth at our Oakville studio. Teaching hours will be scheduled on one or more weekday evenings and/or Saturdays, depending on each candidate’s availability and student registration.
Responsibilities:
- Teach engaging and structured private piano lessons
- Prepare students for concerts, festivals and RCM examinations when appropriate
- Communicate professionally with students, families and the OSMPA administrative team
- Maintain reliable attendance and commit to a consistent weekly schedule
- Encourage students through a positive, patient and supportive teaching approach
Qualifications
- Advanced piano training and strong musicianship
- Previous experience teaching children and youth
- Familiarity with the Royal Conservatory of Music curriculum is preferred
- A music degree, diploma or equivalent professional experience is an asset
- Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills
- Dependable, professional and enthusiastic about music education
Ability to commit to the school year from September through June
