Melanson Motors is proud to offer this 1957 Chevrolet 3100 4x4 Custom. This is a high quality build with great performance components used. The truck drives and performs very well! This custom is a ‘1300 Canadian model’ and is an all steel body. It is built on a 1976 4x4 Chassis with Bilstein shocks and Gridiron Trac bars. The Metallic Green paint is 20 years old and shows well. The paint does have paint chips, touch ups, and other minor flaws from use. 

    This truck had a driveline rebuild in 2023 and has less than 1000 miles since. The engine is a Stage 2 383 Stroker engine with headers, a Thumper camshaft, Holley intake manifold, Edelbrock AVS2 carburetor and MSD electronic ignition. The transmission is a fully built Turbo 400 with manual valve body. The transfer case is an NP205 and the rear end is a 14 bolt with 5.13 gears. With the large wheels and tires, the gearing works well for this truck. The engine and driveline are cooled by dual radiators with an electric fan. The truck will not get hot even in traffic or a parade. This Chevrolet has 4 wheel power disc brakes and power steering.  The undercarriage is nicely detailed and painted black. The truck bed is stunning and features stained wood with galvanized steel strips. At the front, a Coca-Cola cooler acts as a battery box, and a stainless steel fuel cell is mounted. This truck has a new Painless wiring harness. 

    The interior is very tidy! The bench seat is wrapped in two tone silver/gray vinyl and matches the door panels. The carpet is new and black in color. The headliner is also new and sunvisors are fitted. The interior features new Autometer gauges and a dash mounted tachometer. The wiper and headlight switch are new factory style. In the center, the shifter sits atop a whiskey barrel and auxiliary switches are mounted for the electric fan, fuel pump and vacuum.

   The truck rides on 16” American Racing wheels with 35” Mickey Thompson Tires. With less than 1000 miles since the drivetrain build, this 1957 Chevrolet 4x4 is ready to roll! An amazing and high dollar custom build! All the work is done, just get in and enjoy!
