BREAK & ENTER / THEFT AT NOTRE DAME CEMETERY
HELP US CATCH THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR DESECRATING A SACRED SPACE
Sometime between June 21, 2026, and July 27, 2026, thieves broke into the Gregoire Mausoleum located at the Notre-Dame Cemetery (455 Montréal Road, Section U).
What Happened:
• Entry Point: Suspects cut through the chain-link fence along St-Laurent Boulevard (approx. 200–300m north of the Montréal Road intersection).
• The Crime: Suspects accessed the mausoleum roof and stole all 3 large custom copper vents, causing significant vandalism and damage in the process.
CAN YOU HELP IDENTIFY THE SUSPECTS OR RECOVER THE VENTS?
We are asking anyone who lives in the area, drove by, or visited the cemetery during this period to review their memory, dashcam, or security footage.
• Did you see suspicious vehicles or individuals along St-Laurent Blvd or near Section U?
• Have you noticed large copper roof vents being offered for scrap metal or sale online?
