1998 Chevrolet K1500 Z71 Extended Cab 4x4

Selling my 1998 Chev ext cab 4x4. Owned since 2012 (second owner), 596000kms, original 5.7L vortec motor, truck has been meticulously maintained and anything that needed to be fixed was repaired or replaced. I have detailed log book of all maint completed since 2012 along with the previous owners maint records. This truck does have lots of rust, but has been very well maintained and kept clean.
- 2 sets of tires on factory rims (both sets of tires and rims are mint)
- Lund summer/winter fronts and has bug screen in front of the rad
- Oil changes completed every 4000kms with Quaker State 5W-30 full synthetic
- Door pins & bushings replaced in Jan 2026 (Cunningham products)
- Interior power window and power lock switches were all replaced in Jan 2026
- New crankshaft sensor and Ignition control modules replaced in Nov 2025
- Replaced the steel driveshaft with an aluminum driveshaft (installed new U joints as well)
- New LED bulbs in aftermarket headlights and marker lights. These headlights are wicked on regular low beam
- New serpentine belt along with the idler and tensioner pullies
- New battery in fall of 2024
- Complete new front end in April 2025 including:
•Top A arms and ball joints
•Bottom A arm bushing
•Complete inner and outer tie rods
•Pitman and idler arms
•Stabilizer arm bushings
•Stabilizer links
•Compression test on all 8 cylinders (see pics)
•Rocker arms were adjusted and valves were set while having the valve covers off
•Intake gasket replaced
•All new coolant hoses installed (top radiator, bottom radiator and water pump hoses)
•Fuel pump leak down was tested (tested fine)
•Glycol system leak down was tested (tested fine)
•Full antifreeze exchange was completed
•New spark plugs, cap, rotor and spark plug wires
- Original transmission rebuilt in Nov 2021 @ 515000kms and I had a new starter installed at this time as it made sense
-All lubes changed out/flushed at 590000kms with Amsoil fluids. Truck has had amsoil fluids in the transmission, transfer case and diffs since I purchased in 2012. All fluids were changed out every 50000kms and fuel filters replaced every 6 months or 10000kms
-All new brakes in 2022 including:
•Pads and calipers including brake hoses
•Rear brake shoes and drums including brake lines. AC delco drums and shoes were installed
•Brake fluid was flushed out with new fluid
This truck has been my daily driver and has always been dependable. Always kept in the garage and plugged in when sitting outside in -10 or colder weather.
Truck comes with lots of extra parts incl:
•Extra oil and oil filters (5w-30 Quaker State synthetic)
•Transmission filter (AC delco)
•Rear diff gasket (AC delco)
•Starter (replaced as a PM item)
•Alternator (replaced as a PM item)
•Original steel driveshaft with newer greaseable U joints
•Brand new aftermarket headlights and signal lights. Same lights that are currently on the truck
