Job Summary

We are seeking experienced and reliable Heavy Duty Truck Mechanics to join our client's maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on commercial trucks and trailers to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities
Perform routine preventative maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, steering, cooling systems, and drivetrain components.
Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles comply with safety regulations.
Perform brake repairs and adjustments.
Troubleshoot engine performance and electrical faults.
Complete maintenance records and repair documentation.
Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Work with the maintenance team to minimize vehicle downtime.

Qualifications
Previous experience as a Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines and commercial vehicle systems.
Experience diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
Ability to use diagnostic equipment and repair tools.
Ability to read service manuals and repair documentation.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Own basic hand tools (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications
310T Truck and Coach Technician Licence (preferred but not mandatory depending on experience).
Experience working on Freightliner, Volvo, International, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Mack, or similar commercial trucks.
DZ or AZ Licence is considered an asset.
