ATTENTION: Male OR Female HCA certified or support worker with minimum two years experience in Homecare .

ISO : Personal Support Worker (HCA)for a 28 year old man who has spina bifida and is in a wheelchair. The individual is very verbal and communicates very well. He receives funding from PDD and we are family managed care, NOT an agency or group home. The individual lives alone in his own home. The 72 hour weekend (live in) position requires you to sleep in the comfort of your own staff bedroom, which is furnished.

- every second weekend position (starts Friday 8AM- Monday 8am) 72 hours/wknd= 144 hrs/month
PAYS $1,476/weekend = $2952/month before taxes, (6 days/month)
all pertinent taxes will be deducted.

Duties/Requirements include:

MUST be able to speak and read fluent English… MUST be a Canadian Citizen, MUST have valid drivers license and own vehicle.

- ALL house cleaning duties, light yard maintenance, laundry, preparing and cooking delicious homemade meals
- Assistance with ALL personal hygiene
- Must have a vehicle to transfer individual to and from places (mileage will be paid)
- help arrange recreational activities as per interests
- Engage in conversation
- must be able to communicate and document well
- medication administration
- extra hours can also be available as casual relief.
- I will be asking you for a criminal record check
- MUST love dogs .. small 3 year old Yorkie resides at the home
Some assistance required to help look after The support companion dog such as feeding, and going for walks

There will be a full orientation/training provided to the successful candidate.
