Halifax West Children’s Center is looking for a Cook to join our team as soon as possible!

If you enjoy preparing healthy meals for children and working in a positive, supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you!

Position: Cook
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Halifax West Children’s Center, Halifax, NS

Responsibilities:

* Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks following Canada’s Food Guide.
* Accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
* Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
* Assist with food ordering and inventory management.
* Complete daily kitchen cleaning duties.

Qualifications:

* Food Handler Certification (required or willing to obtain).
* Experience in food preparation, preferably in a childcare or institutional setting.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently.
* Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check (required).
