Romeo – Looking for the Right Forever Home ❤️

Romeo is a rescue Doberman mix 6 years old that we adopted from the Sarnia Humane Society. He has been such a blessing to our family, and writing this is one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do.

After a lot of thought, we’ve realized that our home and lifestyle are not the best fit for Romeo’s needs. He struggles with being left alone without access to go outside and will have accidents in the house. He also does not do well when confined, as it causes him significant stress and he can become destructive.

Romeo would thrive in a home with someone who works from home, is retired, or is home most of the day. He is incredibly loyal, affectionate, and loves being with his people. He’s very intelligent, eager to learn, and a true Velcro dog who wants nothing more than to be by your side.

Romeo has lived with other dogs but has had a few incidents with our smaller dog, so we believe he would be happiest as the only pet or with an experienced owner who understands dog behavior and is able to carefully manage introductions.

This decision has absolutely broken our hearts, and our only goal is to find Romeo a home where he can truly thrive. We will be taking our time to find the right fit because he deserves nothing less.
