General Labourer / Shop Helper – Pump Repair Shop
Description
About Us
Claessen Pumps is a busy pump repair shop serving customers across the region from our service facility in the Innisfil industrial park. We repair and rebuild electrical submersible pumps, and our shop keeps a steady flow of equipment coming through the door. We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking person to join our team and help keep the shop running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
This is a hands-on, non-technical role supporting our technicians. Day to day, you’ll be:
• Pressure washing pumps as they come into the shop
• Sandblasting parts to prep them for repair
• Cleaning up after the techs and keeping work areas tidy
• Organizing and sorting parts and inventory
• Light electrical tasks (for example, installing a plug) — we’ll train you on how to do these safely
No prior experience is required. If you show up on time, work hard, and are willing to learn, we’ll teach you everything you need to know.
What We’re Looking For
• A strong work ethic and a reliable, punctual attitude
• Comfortable with physical work — this role involves regular lifting and being on your feet
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures
• Mechanically inclined is a bonus, but not required
Requirements
• Own reliable transportation — our shop is in the Innisfil industrial park with no public transit access, so you must be able to get yourself to work
• CSA-approved safety boots with the Omega (Ω) electrical-shock-resistant rating
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
• Able to lift and carry heavy pumps and parts on a regular basis
What We Offer
• $20.00/hour to start
• Full-time hours, Monday to Friday, day shift — no evenings or weekends
• Health benefits after the waiting period
• RRSP matching after the waiting period
• Stable, year-round work with a growing local company
• On-the-job training — no experience needed
How to Apply
Email your resume to cab@claessenpumps.ca or apply directly through Indeed. We thank all applicants; only those selected for an interview will be contacted
