Puppies, will be LARGE ADULTS. Kangle/Maramma dad, Czech GSD mom
Description
We have 4 puppies, 2 male/2 female, from a Czech-line German Shepherd Dog (not a herding breed) mom and a Kangal/Maremma dad.
The breeds in these parental dogs have been developed to be INDEPENDENT THINKERS, so if you're looking for a champion obedience dog - not likely going to happen, lol.
These puppies are intended as companions, not necessarily as working dogs.
Both mom and dad are stable, gentle, and loving dogs. Kayleigh, the Czech GSD is dedicated to us, gentle, and easy to please and teach (although she is a bit of a bull in a china shop). Dad, the Kangle/Maremma, is a lovely, gentle guy who is just as happy sleeping all day on our living room floor as he is outside.
We live on 8 acres surrounded by cattle pastures, and both adult dogs are fine with cattle, but ... Bubba, as a couple of months over a year-old pup, killed all of our guinea fowl birds, so - a caution there. Doesn't mean the pups won't be good with birds, but socialization with them will need to start early. They are both great with cats/kittens (we also breed Maine Coon cats). We don't have small humans here.
They were born in our home and have been naturally reared, started on a raw diet (as are both parents), and will NOT be vaccinated or chemically dewormed.
We are ADMANTLY against forceful training methods and 1,000% against choke, prong, or shock collars.
They will be large adults and will likely cost a small fortune to get spayed/neutered - which, at an appropriate age, is a requirement.
We use Puppy Culture as a guideline for raising our puppies and have held past membership in PPG (Pet Professional Guild). I am a retired animal behaviour specialist, learning and working since 2013.
They will be conditioned to wear a collar and harness and walk on a leash, and they will be socialized in our local area, which is not big-city action!
***Please, only families with the space and financial means to support a large dog for the next ten years, and who are dedicated to naturally raising and feeding a raw diet, need apply.
They should be ready for their new homes /- August 26.
A $150.00 holding fee is required. If we cannot provide from our end, for example, if a health problem comes up, the deposit is 100% refundable, but if you just change your mind, we keep it, so take your time and be sure.
