Blinds Installer / Consultant
Description
About the Role
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role. You'll be the face of Blinds Concept in clients' homes — measuring accurately, advising on the right products for their space, closing the sale, and installing the final product with precision. No two days look the same: one day you might be running an in-home consultation and quoting a full-house project, the next you're installing motorized shades or fine-tuning a shutter fit.
What You'll Do
Conduct in-home consultations, understanding client needs, style, budget, and space
Take precise measurements for blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery
Recommend products and upsell where appropriate (materials, motorization, smart home integration)
Present quotes and close sales on-site or via follow-up
Install window treatments to manufacturer and company standards
Troubleshoot and resolve on-site fit or mechanical issues
Represent the Blinds Concept brand professionally in every home you enter
Maintain accurate records of measurements, orders, and installs in our system
What We're Looking For
Some industry experience preferred — window treatments, flooring, renovations, contracting, or a related trades/home-improvement background
Comfortable with basic technical/mechanical work (using power tools, reading measurements precisely, working with hardware and brackets)
A natural at building rapport and closing sales — this isn't just installation, it's consultative selling
Strong attention to detail; measurement errors cost time and money
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (mileage/travel compensated)
Physically able to lift materials, use a ladder, and work in various home environments
Self-motivated — you'll often be working independently in the field
How to Apply
Send your resume and a short note about your experience to :

or apply in person at our Dartmouth showroom.
Blinds Concept is an equal opportunity employer.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
