Office Manager & Bookkeeper
The Ranch Golf & Country Club is one of Alberta's premier public golf facilities, known for exceptional course conditions, outstanding service, and hosting nearly 200 tournaments each season. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Office Manager & Bookkeeper to join our leadership team.
This is a key position responsible for overseeing the club's accounting and administrative operations while working closely with the General Manager.
What You'll Do
• Manage the club's day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Complete bank reconciliations and cash management.
• Administer payroll and employee expense reimbursements.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• File GST and complete other government reporting requirements.
• Coordinate year-end accounting and work with our external accountants.
• Assist with employee onboarding, HR administration and seasonal startup.
• Support the General Manager with financial reporting and special projects.
What We're Looking For
• 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Payroll experience is an asset.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with accounting software; experience with Tee-On or the golf industry is an asset but not required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach.
Work Schedule
This position offers an excellent work-life balance that follows the seasonal nature of the golf industry.
• Golf Season (approximately April through October): Full-time, Monday through Friday (approximately 40 hours per week).
• Winter Season (approximately November through March): Reduced hours, typically Monday, Wednesday and Friday, averaging 9–15 hours per week, with flexibility to complete work as required.
The successful candidate will enjoy a consistent weekday schedule with no evenings or weekends required.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will begin September 1, working alongside our retiring Office Manager through the end of October to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities. Following retirement, she will remain available as an ongoing consultant to answer questions and provide assistance whenever needed, helping ensure a seamless transition into the role.
