Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team for local and federal transportation operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and freight handling. This role requires a professional with excellent driving skills, safety awareness, and the ability to operate various types of heavy machinery. Duties

Safely operate commercial vehicles including trucks and heavy equipment for local and federal routes
Transport freight efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs
Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
Follow all federal, state, and company safety policies during operations
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries
Skills

Proven experience operating Class 1 commercial vehicles in a professional setting
Proficiency in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on heavy vehicles
Strong understanding of federal transportation regulations and compliance standards
Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and reliability
Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
Ability to operate heavy machinery safely in various environments
