Meet Pope!

He is a two year old Male. Appears to be a Great Dane/Lab mix. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines.

Pope is a sweet boy, often unaware of his size. He’s grown up in a house with 3 children, and another dog. He is fine with cats. While Pope is a big sweetheart he’s also got emotions we struggle to manage due to long work hours.

He likes to eat in private, and doesn’t like sharing his toys. He gets very excited seeing other dogs on walks and needs help to calm down and regulate his excitement. This reactivity can come across as aggression but I can assure you it is not.

He walks well on a leash otherwise, knows commands and typically listens quite well. He is extremely food motivated, which makes training him a lot easier.

We worked with a trainer and it was extremely helpful. I just sadly don’t have the time to apply what we’ve learnt on a regular daily basis.
A good match for him would be a household that is familiar with large breeds, a home with kids that respect dogs space, and someone willing to put the work in for his full potential.

While Pope is a high energy dog, he will gladly snuggle with you for as long as you let him.

He has been apart of our family since he was a pup and will not be going to just anyone. I will be extremely selective as he deserves the best. I have posted him before for rehoming and will keep him until we find the right fit.
