About the Role
We are hiring experienced Steam Truck Operators to support mining operations at Kearl Lake. This FIFO role is ideal for safety-minded operators who thrive in demanding conditions and want a balanced 14/14 rotation.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate steam truck units to clean heavy equipment,
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, document deficiencies
• Conduct field-level hazard assessments and follow all site safety protocols
• Assist with yard maintenance, equipment wash bays,
• Work alongside maintenance and operations crews to support maintenance requirements.
• Comply with all Kearl site-specific rules, OH&S, and environmental policies
• Maintain PPE and participate in daily safety meetings/toolbox talks
Rotation & Travel
• FIFO: Flights provided from Calgary YYC or Edmonton YEG
• Accommodations: Camp room with meals, WiFi, and recreation facilities
• Schedule: 14 consecutive 12-hour shifts, followed by 14 days off, nights not required at the moment but subject to change.
Compensation & Benefits
• Wage: Competitive hourly rate overtime after 8 hrs/day or 44 hrs/week
• Other: Bi-Weekly pay,
Requirements
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License minimum, clean abstract
• Minimum 1-2 years operating steam trucks or pressure washing in oil & gas/mining
• Current safety tickets: H2S Alive, CSO or BSO, Standard First Aid Level C, WHMIS, TDG
• Fall Protection tickets an asset
• Able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol, and physical demands testing
• Physically capable of working 12-hr shifts outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must be eligible to work in Canada and access all Kearl site areas
