Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Summary:
A Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, locate, load, unload, stack, and organize materials within warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and construction sites. The role requires adherence to safety regulations, efficient inventory handling, and accurate record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities
Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage areas.
Transport materials to designated locations within the facility.
Stack and organize products according to storage procedures.
Inspect forklifts before and after use, reporting maintenance issues as needed.
Verify product quantities and condition during receiving and shipping processes.
Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Follow company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety procedures.
Complete required documentation, logs, and inventory records.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Valid forklift certification/license (as required by local regulations).
Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting preferred.
Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions.
Basic math and record-keeping skills.

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs (23 kg) or more.

Working Conditions
Warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or outdoor work environments.
May require overtime, weekends, or shift work.
Exposure to moving machinery, noise, and industrial equipment.

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor / Logistics Manager

Salary Range: Varies by location, experience, and employer.
