There is minor weathering on the ends and some sides
-notches on the sides accommodate 1" x 2" and 1" x 4" horizontally for lateral strength;
-notches on the end are 5 1/2" to accommodate 2" x 6 " horizontally on the top;
- adding a 2 x 6 plate on the top and the bottom gets you to 8' height.
The top notch could be cut off square and used as a 7' 5" stud or and 8 '5" from the longer ones;
- Use plywood, OSB or metal sheathing to complete the wall.
