The Whole Show Restorations Inc. is seeking an experienced carpenter to join our restoration team.

Our company works with insurers and loss-adjusting firms to restore flood and fire damaged properties back to pre-loss condition. Our employees are dedicated claims handlers and restoration technicians who collectively strive to reduce the insurance claim life cycle and support businesses and homeowners during this stressful period. Our service area includes Nanaimo, Parksville, Qualicum Beach, Port Alberni, and surrounding areas.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience in the restoration industry is considered beneficial
• Red Seal certification is an asset
• 1 – 3 years of carpentry experience required
• Clean criminal record and driver’s abstract
• A valid BC driver’s license is required
• A reliable vehicle for getting to and from head office is required, company vehicle provided for daily use
• Must have own hand tools, power tools will be provided
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Full range of carpentry techniques in framing, finishing, and cabinetry
• Ability to work with existing finishes within people’s homes and businesses
• Majority of work is interior, however exterior finishings are at times required
• Work is physically demanding, must be able to lift over 35lbs
• Friendly, personable, and able to manage challenging situations in a professional manner
• Ability to work on your own or in a team setting – site dependent
• Ability to communicate daily job progress
• Strong trouble-shooting skills
• Accurate record keeper with an eye for detail
• Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation every 3-4 weeks
• Must be willing to perform emergency services tasks as required
• Must have the physical capability of working in smoky, confined and/or water damaged environments
WAGE & BENEFITS:
• $35 - $40 per hour depending on experience
• Full-time, 40 hours
• Year-round employment
