I'm a small-business owner and dad looking for one great person to spend the summer working alongside
my 13-year-old daughter, who's heading into high school and runs her own coffee cart selling brewed
coffee and bags of beans. This is two roles in one: part fitness coach, part business and sales mentor — and
a genuinely fun, get-outside, make-it-happen kind of summer.
What you'll do
• Lead fun, age-appropriate fitness and exercise — keeping her active, energized, and confident over
the summer.
• Mentor her coffee-cart business: marketing, branding, pricing, and the real-world decisions of
running a small venture.
• Coach the sales side — modelling and teaching confident, friendly customer interaction, and selling
both brewed coffee and bags of beans.
• Gently help her come out of her shell: encouraging her to greet customers, make the pitch, and grow
more comfortable and self-assured with people.
You might be a great fit if you
• Are a university or college student — ideally in business, marketing, or commerce, or with hands-on
experience in sales, retail, events, or camp counselling.
• Are outgoing, warm, and great at encouraging others — someone who can walk up to a stranger with
a smile and help a quieter teen do the same.
• Love coffee and enjoy the idea of helping a young entrepreneur grow something real.
• Bring good energy to fitness and know how to make movement enjoyable rather than a chore.
• Are patient, dependable, and a positive role model for a teen.
• Can pass a background check and provide references (required — this role works closely with a
minor).
The details
• Location: Aurora, Ontario — in person.
• Term: Summer only — July and August.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, either 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (set with the right
candidate), with some limited flexibility.
• Pay: $25–$30/hour, based on experience.
• Type: Summer employee position.
