The Task
To create a magazine celebrating stories and pictures of Seniors in the Vernon community.

The Job
To interview Seniors of the community, including those living in Retirement Residences
To edit submitted material
To design an attractive magazine that will be professionally published and distributed throughout the community
To be comfortable with appropriate software (i.e. Canva,
Adobe, etc.)

The Candidate
Qualifies for a Canada Summer Student Grant
Be a Canadian Citizen and resident of British Columbia
Ages 16-30
Able to work independently
Comfortable around older adults
Available to begin by July 1, 2026, for a period of six weeks at
30-35 hours per week

What We Offer
Minimum wage (BC) for six week period
Applicable CPP & EI deductions
Office space to work
Support staff to assist
Rights to use final publication for future reference or endeavours
