Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Civil Excavation Foreman (Operator) to lead earthworks crews on active construction sites. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on excavation knowledge, and the ability to manage crews while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a crew of operators, laborers, and subcontractors
Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within project specifications and budget
Coordinate multiple earthwork scopes across projects
Work closely with General Superintendent (scheduling, job costing, etc.)
Liaise with client/site representatives
Lead daily/weekly safety meetings
Direct crews to maximize productivity and quality

Requirements:
3–5 years supervisory experience in civil construction
Strong knowledge of excavation
Ability to read and interpret site plans
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Valid Nova Scotia driver’s license required
Condition 15 endorsement considered an asset
Excavator operator experience considered an asset

Experience:
Civil Supervisor: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

Nova Scotia Drivers License (preferred)
