BOOMER – 8 YEAR OLD DRAFT CROSS GELDING – 16.2 HH
Boomer has been used in community pasture, handling everything from big bulls to small calves. He has spent time in the mountains, packed and led pack horses, roped off, and spent winters penning cattle at the mart.
Boomer stands tied, good to bridle and saddle, stands well for the farrier, loads and hauls without issue, and is broke to hobble and pack. He has good, solid dark feet and is ready to go to work.
Last summer, Boomer spent a couple of months with Justin Carey, where he was used working cattle, roping, and on a mountain trip.
He is the type of horse that will take the lead, cover country in a hurry, and keep going all day long. Whether you’re working cattle or heading to the mountains, Boomer will work his heart out for you.
Boomer is best suited for an experienced rider as he has plenty of go and enjoys having a job to do. He is not a beginner horse, but for someone wanting a capable, hardworking ranch and mountain horse, he is an excellent choice.
Boomer does require chiropractic maintenance once or twice a year. When he gets out of alignment, he can become cinchy and has bucked in the past. However, he makes it apparent when he’s uncomfortable, and once adjusted he goes right back to being the horse he’s known to be.
