ONLY FLAW: is small almost invisible crack in the surface finish, due to mounting brace installed inside, under bridge, to prevent any wood-top sinking due to climate changes.
KOA WOOD TOP IS HYPNOTIZING, it's from a rare KOA tree in Hawaii, taken from trees fallen over 80 years ago. (Google "KOA wood ovation" for facts.)
The wood grain is amazing as it takes on a 3 dimensional, quilted illusion as you move one way or the other . Hard to explain.
Before I post all the technical info: Let me say, this is one of the best playing guitars I have ever owned and as a perfect neck, frets all the way up; and electronics that are so amp-friendly and studio friendly, the built in EQ, the guitar tuner built in, all work flawlessly.
