USED Sivetz Fluid Bed Coffee Roaster — 15kg / 33lb
Description
For the true Sivetz aficionado, this is the one. The 1/4 bag fluid bed roaster is the most celebrated machine Michael Sivetz ever built — the workhorse that put air roasting on the map and changed specialty coffee forever. These machines are rarely available, and when they are, they go fast. This is your chance to own a piece of coffee roasting history and bring it back to life.
Pulled from an active roastery in Seattle and purchased by us as part of an equipment lot at auction. We were told it was in working order at the time of removal. We chose to stay with drum roasting and never commissioned it — so it has sat untouched. We are being fully transparent: condition is unverified. This is a project machine for someone who knows what they're looking at — and those people know exactly what a Sivetz is worth when it's running.
The beauty of the Sivetz is its simplicity. One moving part — the blower. No automation, no data logging, no unnecessary complexity. Just pure, straight-forward fluid bed roasting the way Sivetz intended. Parts are standard industrial components, widely available through suppliers like Grainger.com. A mechanically inclined buyer or HVAC technician can have this machine singing again.
Original Sivetz manual included.
