We are seeking a reliable and compassionate part-time caregiver to assist a woman with MS in her home in South Central Edmonton.

Primary Shift Available:
Sunday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM (24-hour shift)

Compensation:
$240 per shift

Possibility of an additional weekday shift.

This position follows Alberta employment standards for domestic employees/caregivers, with compensation equivalent to 12 working hours at $20/hour within a 24-hour shift.

The shift includes approximately 12 hours of downtime/rest periods, depending on the client’s needs. The full $240 shift rate is paid regardless of actual active care hours worked.

About the Client:
The client has MS, is quadriplegic, and uses ceiling lifts for mobility assistance.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

* Mobility transfers
* Toileting assistance
* Meal preparation and feeding assistance
* Light housekeeping
* Oral medication and supplement administration
* Positioning and care in bed

This is a 24-hour on-call shift, meaning the caregiver must remain available throughout the shift should assistance be needed.

Requirements:

* Female applicants only
* Must speak and understand English
* Patient, compassionate, trustworthy, dependable, and willing to learn
* Previous caregiving experience is preferred
* Must be physically capable of assisting with caregiving duties and longer shifts
* Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
