Job Title: Summer Student - Museum Coordinator
Museum Coordinator to support daily operations, visitor engagement, educational programming while including exhibit curation and collection management. This role serves as key link between administration, marketing, and the community to ensure smooth museum operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations, including opening/closing, reporting, ad basic budget management
• Complete exhibit setups, maintenance, and artifact handling, archiving, and inventory
• Deliver visitor tours, develop educational programs, workshops, events an respond to research requests
• Recruit, train and supervise volunteers
• Support marketing efforts through social media, website updates and community outreach
Qualifications
• Strong organizational, communication and administrative skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, Google Drive and social media platforms
• Ability to lift and move artifacts or display materials.
Assets
• Background in local history, anthropology, or archival studies.
• Experience with fundraising or grant applications
• Experience in museum environment, collections management, and public programming.
• Knowledge of Past Perfect
Monday to Friday 30 hours per week $19 per hour
