Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit individual to join our team as a Scrap Metal Sorter in a facility at Etobicoke, Ontario. This role involves sorting, processing, and handling various non-ferrous metals in a fast-paced recycling environment.

Location: North Queen St & Shorncliffe Rd, Etobicoke, Ontario
Pay Rate: Up to $22 per hour (Based on experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:
• Identify and sort non-ferrous metals such as copper, brass, aluminum, stainless steel, zinc, and lead.
• Process materials using saws and basic hand tools.
• Load, unload, and move scrap metal materials safely.
• Operate basic equipment such as balers, shears, or wire stripping machines.
• Support yard organization, including stacking and staging materials for processing or shipment
• Conduct visual inspections to ensure materials meet processing standards.
• Report equipment issues, safety hazards, or discrepancies to supervisors
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Working indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions


Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a scrap yard, recycling facility, or general labour role is an asset
• Basic knowledge of non-ferrous metals is preferred
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive tasks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Strong attention to detail for accurate sorting
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required
• Commitment to workplace safety at all times
