Job details:
Full time (40 hr/wk; Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm)
Work Setting:
Retailer/Wholesaler of construction materials
Languages:
English & French
Education:
College in Business/Administrative program (min 2 yrs)
Job requirements:
Greet customers
Telephone answering (1-4 lines)
Scanning, photocopying, faxing and sending emails
Assisting and directing customers appropriately based on their requirements
Receiving customer payments
Ensuring that staff are following proper internal controls
Recording customer invoices, payments
Preparing, sending and reconciling customer statements
Balancing sales and cash box
Preparing and recording bank deposits
Experience:
Experience in an administrative/bookkeeping setting only
Specific Skills/Attributes:
Excellent oral and written communication
Quick thinker & multi-tasking skills
Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
Excellent interpersonal skills
Must be articulate and professional in appearance
Punctual and reliable
Business Equipment and Computer Applications:
Must be proficient in MS Word & Excel, Sage 50
