Our client is looking for a Shop Foreman/Manger & 301T Mechanics

The shop Foreman will oversee truck repairs and maintenance while maintaining and improving safety standards in all areas.

The job responsibilities are as follows:

Promotes and maintains a positive and motivating work environment helping troubleshoot problems
Manage mechanics in a timely and productive service schedule
Enforcing all policies and procedures to ensure work is completed safely
Organizing and reviewing all out of shop work being done
Help negotiate supplier contracts and pricing
Hands-on mechanical work is required
Have the ability to work extra hours as needed
Manage administrative requirements such as data entry into the software and working with various other providers software

What you bring:

Mechanical Capabilities, experience with commercial vehicles
310T Mechanic
Class AZ Licence preferred
Must be a team player
Shop Foreman experience would be an asset
Have good written and verbal communication skills

Location: Kitchener

$45-$49hr depending on experience

Signing bonus of $2500.00 to be paid after 3 months

Must have experience in all aspects of truck and/or trailer repairs

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

Engine repair;- Adjusting, overhauling, repairing and reassembling engines, transmissions, clutches, rear end differentials, brakes, drive shafts, axles and other assemblies
Electrical and electronic systems; diesel engines; diagnostics; alignment, steering, and suspension; brake systems
Fuel systems; ignition and electrical systems
AC, cooling, and heating systems
Overhaul; drive train components; machining; truck-trailer repair
Operate electronic/diagnostic equipment to analyze vehicle/equipment problems and provide timely, cost effective repairs and maintenance
Ensure accuracy in all work functions and responsibilities
Ensure all repairs and maintenance is in accordance to MOT standards
Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures
Class G License, (AZ license an asset)

Additional Skills :

Job task planning and organizing. Review work orders and discusses work with supervisor; complete reports to record problems and work performed; Estimate parts and labour costs; Customer service skills

This is a permanent placement and direct hire.

Salary $38-$40/hr depending on experience with a $2500.00 signing bonus to be paid after 3 months
