20 Valley Harvest Farms is a woman-led, family operated fruit and vegetable farm specializing in agri-tourism through our popular pick-your-own orchards and on-farm markets. A large part of our customer base are guests visiting the region from the GTA, and we strive to provide exceptional customer service and memorable on-farm experiences.
The Customer Service & Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for providing excellent customer service at our pick-your-own operation and on-farm markets. Duties include assisting customers, operating the farm stand, organizing and filling orders, opening and closing the market stand, and assisting with general farm operations during harvest.
This position will also assist with painting and landscape maintenance throughout the farm. Landscape duties may include mowing lawns, maintaining gardens, planting and tending seedlings, implementing pollinator or permaculture gardens, container gardening, crop maintenance, harvesting, sorting and packing produce, landscaping and yard maintenance, painting and other related outdoor duties as assigned.
Start date is flexible. This is a job position for 8 weeks, and hiring will be done on a rolling basis. Applicants must be available to work weekends in July. Required Skills

- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail
- Hardworking and reliable
- Able to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to work outdoors, weekends, and occasionally evenings or early mornings
- Ability to lift at least 35 lbs
- Successful applicants must have Standard First Aid and CPR Level C by the start date of employment
Assets (Not Required)
- Previous landscaping, gardening, retail, or customer service experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Awareness of local food, fruit, or horticulture
- Experience driving a cargo van
- A second language is an asset, especially languages spoken in Asia, SE Asia, the Middle East, South America, or Eastern Europe
- Reverence for Mother Earth
Canada Summer Jobs Eligibility
To be eligible, youth must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number and be legally entitled to work in Canada
Expected start date: July 2026
Full-time for the duration of the funding period.
