About Us:
Northern Dough Bakery is a small, community-focused bakery in Grimshaw, AB built on quality baking, creativity, and a welcoming atmosphere. We offer a wide variety of fresh, small-batch baked goods, as well as custom orders and catering services.

The Job:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bakery Assistant & Clerk to join our close knit team on a full-time basis. This is a blended role where you will support both baking/production as well as front of house/customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
-Provide excellent customer service
-Assist with baking, prep, and daily production tasks
-Package, label, and restock baked goods
-Help maintain clean, organized, food-safe workspaces
-Support general bakery operations including organizing and stocking
-Work across both front of house and production as needed

What We're Looking For:
-A general understanding of kitchen equipment and food safety
-Personal baking experience is an asset
-Professional bakery/kitchen or customer service experience is a bonus, but not required
-Positive, respectful, and team-oriented attitude
-Willingness to learn, adapt, and is open to feedback
-Strong reliability and time management
-Ability to take initiative and problem-solve when needed
-Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
-Ability to commit to a long-term position

Requirements:
-Able to work early mornings and full time hours (including Saturdays)
-Comfortable being on your feet for the majority of the shift
-Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
-Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Schedule:
-This role works Tuesday - Saturday every week
-Tuesday hours: 10am-5pm
-Wednesday - Saturday hours: 6am-2pm

Compensation & Perks:
-Starting at $16/hr
-Potential for wage increases based on performance, reliability, and growth
-Higher starting wage may be considered for candidates with significant baking experience after in-person trial
-Monthly tip-outs
-1 free baked good per shift
