Job Title: Cook
Location: Grande Prairie, Alberta
Employment Type: Part-Time
Hours: 14 hours a week on Saturday and Sunday 10:00 AM- 5:30 PM, and statutory holidays.
Salary: $16.00 hour

Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and caring Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about preparing nutritious and delicious meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. This role is crucial in creating a warm, welcoming environment where clients feel at home.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and serve balanced meals for residents according to menu plans and dietary requirements.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently maintained.
• Record food and equipment temperatures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
• Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management.
• Engage positively with clients and staff, contributing to a supportive community atmosphere.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in cooking, preferably in a restaurant, residential, or supportive living setting.
• Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
• Valid Food Handler Certificate and WHMIS with GHS Certificate
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines accurately.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in supporting clients’ well-being.
• Certification in Workplace Infection Training, Violence and Harassment in the Workplace, Mental Health Awareness Training, and Disabilities in the Workplace is considered an asset.
