HEAVY TRUCK GARAGE LABOURER
Description
“Must have Automotive knowledge of vehicle parts and be mechanically Inclined”.
DUTIES:
• Perform dismantling procedures according to managers method.
• Remove parts that can be recycled and prepare remainder for disposal.
• Efficiently and effectively pull parts off all makes and models in a safe and timely manner.
• Drain and deplete all vehicle fluids in a safe manner and following Health and Safety guidelines.
• Welding experience and or certificate a benefit
• Remove and sort core parts, including but not limited to rims, engines and transmissions.
• Recognize parts that are damaged/broken or in need or repair.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, oxy/acetylene torches and power equipment to remove parts and vehicle body sections.
• Identify parts, tag and prepare parts for inventory and storage prior to resale.
• Prepare and package items for shipping.
• Maintain a clean workspace.
SKILLS:
• Must have knowledge of Transport Trucks and be mechanically inclined.
• Be physically fit to lift, bend and work with heavy vehicle components.
• Have good eye hand coordination and good organizational skills.
• Must be a team player and work well with people, both customers and co workers.
• Knowledge of how to run a Forklift and or Loader is a benefit.
• Have own transportation, no bus service available here.
• Must be able to work Indoors and Outdoors Environment no matter the weather.
• Must have your own Steel Toed Boots
• Coveralls, safety glasses and ear plugs will be supplied by Employer.
Available to work Fulltime, Monday to Friday. 8 Am to 5 Pm.
Rate of pay will depend on Experience and Negotiated at Interview.
