Job Summary

Alberta Wall Systems Ltd. is seeking experienced and reliable Masons specializing in masonry block installation, bricklaying, and stonework for commercial and residential construction projects across Alberta and Saskatchewan.

The successful candidate will be responsible for laying concrete blocks, bricks, and stone according to project specifications, ensuring quality workmanship, safety compliance, and productivity on site.

Key Responsibilities
Lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles, and other masonry units
Construct and repair walls, partitions, fireplaces, chimneys, and other structures
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Measure, cut, and shape bricks, stone, and blocks to required dimensions
Prepare and spread mortar, grout, and other bonding materials
Install anchors, flashings, lintels, and reinforcement as required
Perform restoration and repair work on existing masonry structures
Maintain clean and safe work areas in compliance with Alberta OHS regulations
Work safely at heights using scaffolding, lifts, and other access equipment
Follow company safety policies and site-specific procedures
Qualifications
Minimum 2–3 years of masonry experience preferred
Experience with commercial masonry block installation required
Ability to work with brick, stone, and concrete block systems
Ability to read blueprints and layout wall systems accurately
Familiarity with scaffolding and elevated work platforms
Strong understanding of construction site safety practices
Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials
Valid driver’s license is an asset
CSTS, WHMIS, Fall Protection, and First Aid certifications are considered assets
