1971 Ford Bronco
Description
1971 Ford Bronco
I purchased this from the original family in 2023.
Around 2000 the family completed a restoration and then in 2011 a $13k engine rebuild/upgrade was completed which used the original factory 302 and enhanced it to a 347 with a fill stroke and roller setup. At that time it was Dynoed at about 390 hp
Purchased from the original family in 2023. Since then we have added a new custom ultra premium vinyl 2-tone interior with matching black dash pad and rear wheel well covers.
Had a new clutch and throw out bearing installed last year and the 4x4 shot went through the engine and tweaked it for performance.
The wheels you see with the sand color inserts are new 17" wheels with 40" Tires.
This makes it a beast both on the roads or the trails if you prefer. I also have a set of 5 matching 15" aluminum wheels with 33" Super Swampers if that's more your style or for off road.
Gauge cluster has been fully rebuilt with all new gauges. I also have a new full set of front floors with some rear factory stamped patch panels that are not needed but I wanted to repaint the interior so thought I would replace the floors first.(yet to be done)
Also have a new seal kit for all rubber components (doors,windows, top, brow, and new hardware)
- 79 Ford Half-ton front diff
* Chrome molly front axels - CTM U joints
* Yukon Grizzly locker with 4.88 gears
* Heavy duty front steering bars
* Adjustable track bar
* Front diff guard
* Heavy duty front and rear driveshafts
* Ford 9" rear end with a spool and 4.88 gears (would be a good idea to replace spool with a locker)
* F-150 steering box with quick ratio steering
* 79' Ford T184 speed - rebuilt in 2010 NP 435
* Factory Dana 20 T case with twin sticks
* Flaming river steering column chrome
* Extreme power brake system
* Ceramic long tube headers - oil vapour evac kit on the headers
* 3" body lift
* 5.5" suspension lift
* Progressive rate coils
* Shock hoops front and rear
* Ani-Wrap bar on the rear
* Long travel front radius arms
* Larger fuel tank of 23 gallons
* 1 ¼" wheel spacers on the rear
* MSD digital ignition
* Quick connect for a winch on the inner passenger side fender.
This bronco is definitely not perfect but it is a pretty easy project if you want to take it over the finish line. I have driven and enjoyed it the way it is now for two years and don't really have anything else I would like to do to it except for putting in the floors. I do have a welder that has offered to install those at a very reasonable price if needed.
if the ad is up it's still available.
I'm not really interested in trades but I've always been fond of the early/mid 1930s open wheel hot rods so that may be possible.
