Job Overview:
We are currently looking to hire a Material Processor & Receiver to join a team at an Indoor Metal Recycling facility. You will be responsible for receiving, processing, and shipping various recycled materials, while ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.

Location: Hwy 7 & Keele (Vaughan)
Shift: Monday to Friday - 7:00am - 4:30pm, Saturday - 7:00am - 12:00pm(occasionally)
Pay rate: Starts at $20/hr

Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers entering the facility
Receive and sort materials by type and grade (non-ferrous metals like copper, aluminum, brass, etc.)
Manually sort and upgrade materials for final processing
Operate a counterbalance forklift to move and load/unload materials
Maintain cleanliness in all working areas, ensuring scrap metal is cleared from floors and drive-in doors
Occasionally drive a small truck for local pickups and deliveries
Provide general assistance around the plant as needed

Qualifications:
Strong English communication skills (spoken and written)
Knowledge of non-ferrous metal grades (copper, aluminum, brass, wire, stainless, etc.)
Valid G-Class Driver’s License (required)
Valid Forklift License (required)
Attention to detail and ability to work in a hot, cold, and dusty environment
Must have CSA-approved safety shoes (other safety gear provided)
Health & Safety certification (can be completed online via Ministry of Labour)
Availability for occasional Saturday morning
