About Landscaping Legends

Landscaping Legends is a growing landscaping and outdoor construction company serving clients across the GTA. We specialize in fencing, hardscaping, interlocking, concrete, and exterior property improvement projects.

We are currently hiring an experienced Interlock / Hardscaping Foreman to lead hardscaping projects and help build a reliable crew for the season.

This role is for someone who knows hardscaping work properly, can lead workers on site, and can complete jobs efficiently, safely, and professionally.

Position Summary

The Hardscaping Foreman is responsible for leading hardscaping projects on-site from start to finish. This includes understanding the job scope, preparing the base properly, managing the crew, maintaining quality, tracking progress, and communicating issues to management.

The right person must have hands-on hardscaping or interlocking experience and be able to lead a small crew without constant supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardscaping, interlocking, patio, walkway, driveway, retaining wall, and similar outdoor construction jobs on site.
• Supervise helpers and crew members.
• Read and follow job details, measurements, plans, drawings, and project instructions.
• Prepare excavation, grading, base installation, compaction, drainage, bedding, laying, cutting, edging, and finishing.
• Make sure work is completed properly, safely, and to company standards.
• Keep the crew productive, organized, and accountable throughout the day.
• Track job progress and communicate updates to management.
• Report site issues, delays, material shortages, access issues, customer concerns, or quality concerns.
• Make sure tools, equipment, materials, and PPE are used properly.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site.
• Support accurate time tracking for the crew.
• Help complete projects within the expected timeline and budgeted hours.
• Represent Landscaping Legends professionally on customer properties.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a hardscaping foreman, interlocking foreman, lead hand, or experienced hardscape/interlock installer.
• Strong hands-on experience with interlock, hardscaping, patios, walkways, driveways, retaining walls, or similar landscape construction work.
• Knowledge of excavation, grading, base preparation, compaction, drainage, bedding, cutting, edging, and finishing.
• Ability to lead and supervise a small crew.
• Ability to work efficiently without constant supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Reliable, punctual, and physically able to perform outdoor construction work.
• Comfortable working long days during the busy season.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to travel to job sites across the GTA.
• Experience with tools and equipment used in hardscaping and landscape construction work.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has real hardscaping or interlocking experience and understands how to run a job site properly. They know how to prepare a strong base, manage helpers, solve site problems, and keep the project moving.

We are looking for someone serious, reliable, and experienced, not someone who needs to be trained from scratch.

Compensation

This position pays $23–$30/hour, based on experience, reliability, leadership ability, and performance.

Final pay rate will be discussed during the interview and may depend on hands-on hardscaping/interlocking experience, ability to lead a crew, quality of work, and performance during a paid trial employment period.
