Bike Mechanic – Banana Bike and Board (South
Edmonton)

About Us
Banana Bike and Board is a growing local bike, skate, and snow shop built around community, lifestyle,
and quality service. We specialize in bike sales (new & used), repairs, skateboards, and seasonal gear.
We’re looking for a motivated and reliable Bike Mechanic to join our team.
Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair all types of bicycles (road, mountain, kids, e-bikes)
• Perform tune-ups, brake adjustments, drivetrain repairs, and wheel truing
• Build new bikes and assemble customer purchases
• Assist customers with service recommendations and product knowledge
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workshop
• Help with general shop duties (inventory, receiving, customer service)
Requirements
• Previous experience as a bike mechanic (shop experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of bike components and repair techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Friendly, customer-first attitude
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to work weekends

-Bonus Skills (Not Required)
• Experience with e-bikes
• Ski/snowboard tuning or skate sharpening
• Retail sales experience
• Familiarity with POS systems (Lightspeed is an asset)
